Can you paint a portrait of my sister/husband/aunt/grandfather etc?
At the moment, I only offer animal portraits or animal paintings.

How long does it take to create a portrait?
Usually, it takes me about 3 to 4 months to create a portrait. Because I work in oil paint, layers need to dry between painting sessions and the painting itself needs to dry completely before varnishing.

What does the process of a commission look like?
To commission me, fill out the form on this page or send me a message on instagram. We will discuss the subject, what your wishes are in terms of colors or background and of course what size you want. I will tell you the pricing and require 50% to be paid through Venmo or Paypal before starting work. When the commission is confirmed, the process of painting begins! Upon completing the painting, the rest of the amount needs to be paid before shipping. Of course, I will send you pictures of the completed painting, unless you want it to be a surprise!

What materials do you use?
My favorite oil paints are from Gamblin, but I also use Rembrandt oil paints from time to time.
My oil paintings are usually painted on cradled panels or tempered hardboard, but I’m currently experimenting with other rigid surfaces. When commissioning me, this will be discussed of course, to choose the perfect surface for your painting.

Can I get my painting framed?
Frames are not included in my price and I generally don’t offer framing as a service. Framing a painting is a matter of taste and skill, so I highly recommend bringing the painting to a local professional framer. In Los Angeles, I can recommend a good framer locally.
For some smaller sizes, like 8 x 10 inch, I do offer a simple, black frame if requested.
